What's open and closed on Family Day in Saskatoon

Looking for something fun this Family Day long weekend?

While a number of Saskatoon city services will be impacted Monday, some indoor arenas are offering free skating events for the whole family.

The Forestry Farm Park and Zoo, along with the conservatory, are also welcoming guests throughout the weekend. 

The following is a list of what else is open and closed on Feb. 20:

City Hall will be closed.

Pay Parking Stations will not require payment. Drivers are still required to park their vehicles within area time limits posted.

The Municipal Impound Lot will not be releasing vehicles to the public.

All Saskatoon Public Library locations will be closed.

Saskatoon Landfill will be open with regular hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Garbage and recycling collection will take place as scheduled.

The Saskatoon Civic Conservatory will be open free to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Transit Services

Saskatoon Transit will operate with regular Sunday and holiday service.

Access Transit will operate with regular holiday service from 8:15 a.m. to 11 p.m. Trips must be booked in advance as per normal procedures. Customers are reminded that subscriptions do not apply on Statutory Holidays.

Transit Customer Service Centre will be closed.

Transit Customer Service phone lines will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

RECREATION and COMMUNITY

Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo
Regular hours of operation
Zoo: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Park: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval
Regular hours of operation.
Free Family Day Skate event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Indoor Arenas  
ACT Arena: Parent & Tot skating cancelled.  
Bonus public skating from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Cosmo Arena: Parent & Tot skating cancelled.  
Free Family Day Skate event from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Leisure Centres
Cosmo Civic Centre
Closed

Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre
Open noon to 9 p.m.
All fitness classes cancelled.

Lakewood Civic Centre
Open noon to 9 p.m.
All fitness classes and child minding cancelled.

Lawson Civic Centre
Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All fitness classes cancelled.

Saskatoon Field House
Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All fitness classes and child minding cancelled.
Holiday Fitness Class: 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Shaw Centre 
Open noon to 9 p.m.
All fitness classes and child minding cancelled.

Terry Fox Track, in the SaskTel Sports Centre, will be closed.
