Lorrie Getty is the mother of James Hayward, a 24-year-old man who was shot and killed in 2003.

Getty has been sitting through the trail of the man accused of shooting her son, Kim Walker.

Walker was the father of Hayward’s girlfriend at the time of the killing.

This is the second trial of Walker and Getty says she is learning things this time around she never knew about before.

“The cross on the forehead. For eight years I didn’t know about that at all,” said Getty.

Last week the court heard that Walker allegedly dipped his finger in blood and drew a cross on Hayward.

On Wednesday the court is heard from a psychiatrist who explained why Walker can’t remember shooting James Hayward.
