The Z99 Radiothon started at the Cornwall Centre this morning at 6:00a.m. and this year marks a landmark in the tradition of saving baby’s lives.
Over the past 25 years, the radiothon has raised over $3 million for the neonatal intensive care unit at the Regina General Hospital.
CC, Lorie and Buzz will be broadcasting live from the Cornwall Centre throughout the 36-hour radiothon to raise money for essential equipment for the NICU at the Rawlco Centre for Mother Baby Care.
Six hours into the broadcast today, the running total passed $30,000. Goals this year include raising funds for a MRI Compatible Monitor, a neonatal ventilator package for newborns and to increase bed capacity in the future.
Visit the website for more information or donate online here. To donate by phone call 522 KIDS (5437).
