Police have charged a 40-year-old man after finding another man dead in the back yard of a Toronto Street home in Regina on Sunday.

Forty-year-old Fergus Standingrready was charged with aggravated assault. More charges are pending as police continue to investigate and an autopsy occurs.

Standingready is to appear in court on Tuesday.

The name of the man who died has not yet been released as police notify his next of kin.

At about noon on Sunday, police were called to the home in the 1600 block of Toronto Street where an unknown man was found lying still in the back yard. The caller thought he was dead.
