The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added another quarterback ot their stable.
The team announced on Friday that they've signed import quarterback Adam Weber. The pivot joins the green and white after three years on NFL practice rosters. In 2011, Weber was with the Denver Broncos followed by two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Weber played his college football with the University of Minnesota Gophers. In 50 games he threw for 10,917 yards and 72, leaving him third all-time in Big Ten history in both categories. Weber was also on the 2007 Big Ten All-Freshman team after throwing for a school record 2,895 yards and 24 touchdowns.
The Riders also announced they've released fullback Darryl Stephenson and linebacker Lindsey Witten. Stephenson sent last season in Riderville spending most of the season on the sidelines, Witten didn't show up for the team's mini-camp last month in Florida.
