Could you live three months in a house with 13 other people? It could be a reality for one Saskatoon girl auditioning for Big Brother Canada.
Sara Ly, who currently resides in Calgary where she auditioned for the reality television series Big Brother Canada on Sunday. The teen just moved to the city from Saskatoon and said she would represent the city of bridges of she was picked.
“It was really, really fast. It only took three to five minutes,” said Ly of her audition. Ly, along with some family, waited in line among nearly 900 other people.
The wildly popular American reality show is making a move north. Casting calls are happening across the country before the show airs on Slice! this winter.
Only 14 people, along with two backup players, will be chosen.
Ly said five at a time, they were put in a room and asked to explain why they were the best person for the show.
“I’m a girl but I can also be sweet and get people to like me, but also manipulate them,” said Ly, adding she wasn’t impressed by the other competitors.
“This guy really sold himself saying he was a model and in acting but I thought that was kind of fake,” she said.
Now, Ly is making sure her phone is close by in hopes of hearing a “yes” from producers.
