Snowless Regina rare in November
It’s the month of November and it's hard to believe that there’s still no snow in Regina.
Environment Canada's head climatologist David Phillips says it's remarkable.
"We're pinching ourselves," said Phillips.
There has only been six times in the last 125 years Regina hasn't had snow in September or October. He says the city needs to savour it while it can.
"You don't want to have it like it was last year where a weather bomb attacked you and you were buried in snow for the first several weeks. There was no chance to ease into winter-like weather," said Phillips.
He says Regina likely will get a sprinkling of snow this weekend. But it will warm back up to 5 C as soon as Tuesday so the snow won’t stick around.
