Police received multiple calls of thick, black smoke coming from the back of 312 Ledingham Way around 3:50 p.m.
When crews arrived they found the fire on the outside of the building. No one was home at the time.
Firefighters used thermal imaging to find several hot spots within the home’s walls and had to ventilate three nearby homes because some had come in through open windows.
Crews are still investigating and there is no damage estimate at this time.
