Listen to daily commentary from provincial news director Sarah Mills
Sarah Mills says parents are probably breathing a sigh of relief as kids head back to school after the Easter break.
One of the two teenagers accused of murdering 16-year-old Hannah Leflar who was hoping to get out on bail will be staying in jail.
Bail reports had been previously ordered for the teen, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The teen’s defence lawyer is consenting for him to remain in remand.
Hannah was found dead in Regina at a home on Garnet Street North this past January.
Both boys were 16 when they were charged with first degree murder. Their lawyers asked for them to be tried separately. The other teen remains in jail.
