Saskatoon police say Canada Revenue Agency fraudsters are still trying to dupe people in the city.
Police have received several complaints about attempted fraud. In some cases, victims have been defrauded up to $40,000.
The fraudsters tell the victim that their taxes are owed and use threatening or aggressive language to scare them into paying. In some cases, the callers are falsely claiming that the victim will be arrested if they don’t pay.
Saskatoon police is asking anyone who has been defrauded to call them at 306-975-8300.
