The Regina Pats have a new look.
The team revealed new home and road jerseys on Thursday at the Brandt Centre.
“I think they look great. (We) achieved what we really wanted to which was a really clean, nice look. (We) stuck with our heritage,” team president Todd Lumbard said.
After going through a number of different variations of the logo over the years, Lumbard and the team felt it was important to settle on a design they plan on using for the foreseeable future.
The new road jersey features a darker shade of blue than before.
“I like them both. They’re both deadly. They’re both perfect, I think,” said defenceman Connor Hobbs.
Lumbard also confirmed on Thursday that the team is currently working on a new third jersey that will be released next season. The red third jersey the team used to wear on Fridays will no longer be worn.
Fans can get their hands on the new jerseys starting Friday at the team store.
The Pats will debut their new look Saturday night at the Brandt Centre as they host the Brandon Wheat Kings.
