A break-in in Saskatoon’s Meadowgreen neighbourhood ended with a 29-year-old man being tased Monday.
Police say they were called just after 3 p.m. for reports of a home invasion. Officers arrived to find the suspect still inside the home, and refusing to leave.
At one point, police say the man sprayed bear mace at the officers standing outside. That led to the use of a conducted energy weapon.
The man was transported to hospital. Several charges are pending.
As with all incidents involving the use of a weapon, Saskatoon police will be conducting a review.
