For the first time since 2008, there’s a new top name for baby girls in Saskatchewan.
On Wednesday, eHealth Saskatchewan released the top 20 names for babies born in 2015.
For the boys, Liam remained the most common with 69 babies receiving that name. This is the sixth year in a row that Liam has been at number one.
Emma had held the top spot for baby girls for every year since 2009, but dropped to the third spot for 2015 with 63 babies. Olivia took top spot, with 80 babies.
The popular book series and TV show Game of Thrones continues to have influence on name choices, with Aria at number nine for baby girl names.
Charlotte also broke into the top 20 for girls names, likely after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge named their daughter Charlotte in May.
