Adam Brooks isn’t slowing down.
The Regina Pats top scorer notched a hat trick in Wednesday night’s 4-2 win over the Prince Albert Raiders.
The three goals helped Brooks extend his streak to eight games with a point (4 goals, 14 assists). Brooks also added an assist on the Pats first goal of the game.
The win has the Pats riding a three-game winning streak into back to back games at home on Friday vs. Kootenay and Sunday vs. Edmonton. Regina also moves seven points back of Moose Jaw for third in the East Division and nine back of the Raiders for second.
While Brooks has been stellar in the offensive end, Tyler Brown continues to settle in as the primary goalie for the Pats heading into the home stretch of the season.
Brown turned away 34 shots in the Pats win as Regina redeemed themselves after a loss in Prince Albert this past Friday.
Austin Wagner started the scoring with his career high 21st goal of the season before the Adam Brooks show started with his first of three on the night to end the first period with the Pats up 2-0 on the hosts.
The Raiders made things interesting by tying the game at two early in the third period. Brooks got the eventual game winner three minutes later on the power play, before icing the game with his hat trick goal into an empty net with 53 seconds left in the game.
