Prepare to feel annoyed if you didn’t fill up on gas last week, because gas prices are shooting up by more than 10 cents in Regina and Saskatoon.
“Most stations that are raising their prices are going up to 91.9 (cents per litre) in both Regina and Saskatoon,” said Jason Toews, CEO of GasBuddy.com.
Toews said you can blame the hike in gas prices on the early spring weather. He said demand for gas is higher when people take more road trips when the roads are clear for spring and summer.
“There is also a changeover from winter fuel to summer fuel that happens in the spring and you usually see short term supply disruptions in gasoline, and they actually raise our prices,” Toews said.
The good news is that discount gas station are still showing prices between 75 and 77 cents per litre.
