Saskatoon inmate leaves work detail, steals truck, escapes

A Saskatoon correctional inmate is on the run after stealing a truck to escape his work detail at Pike Lake Provincial Park.

Warman RCMP say Jeffrey Adam Dyck, 30, should not be approached.

Dyck was part of a nine-person work crew when he escaped just before 1 p.m. Tuesday. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

He is described as white, six feet tall, 165 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a bright orange prison jump suit.

Dyck may be driving a 2000 blue Chevy pickup truck with the Saskatchewan licence plate 825 BNG.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call their local police department, Warman RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
