The new 51-member Saskatchewan Party caucus met for the first time at the legislature on Wednesday.
Brad Wall arrived last to applause saying, “I like how full this room is with all the new faces”.
Thanking the team for coming in and speaking about how they wanted to get to work quickly, he stumbled saying, “I’m at a loss for words”.
One MLA cat-called, saying “that never happens”, which got laughs from the room.
New MLAs received some orientation having never been to the government offices before.
“We are obviously very grateful to all of your constituents that sent you here and we are all very grateful for the opportunity we’re going to have to serve, so let’s get to work,” Wall went on to tell them.
That work includes prepping for the upcoming legislative session and a budget.
Wall revealed he won’t be changing the cabinet before the summer, saying it is best for now to leave the ministers in their current jobs.
