Saskatchewan’s coroner has ruled the death of a woman who fell down a laundry chute at the Delta hotel was accidental.
Nadine Machiskinic was found injured in the laundry room in the early hours of the morning of Jan. 10, 2015.
The report also supported the Regina Police Service (RPS) opinion that her death was not the result of foul play.
Provincial Coroner Kent Stewart has ruled Machiskinic suffered blunt force trauma to the head as a result of the fall and was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
Last month, RPS released a security image of two men at the Delta hotel lobby desk the morning Machiskinic was found dead. They were not considered suspects.
Stewart also recommends in his report that hotel increase its security measures and adds more video surveillance.
The family of Machiskinic launched a lawsuit against the Delta Hotel chain a year after her death.
