Riders beat Lions to punch ticket to CFL West final
Nov 03, 2024
The Riders are back in the West final for the first time since 2021.
The K+S Legacy potash mine near Bethune is going to take longer than first thought to get going, thanks to an industrial accident in July.
On July 17, a process vessel in the mine fell from its mounting during a test and caused “considerable damage”.
According to the company’s half-year report out Thursday, potash production in the mine was supposed to start at the end of this year but now won’t start until the second quarter of 2017. Production is also forecast to be below the expected volume of up to 1 million tonnes because of the delay.
However, commissioning is still expected at the end of this month, and K+S is expecting to reach its target production capacity of 2 million tonnes by the end of next year.
