The investigation into a cold case has led to the discovery of an outdoor marijuana grow-op east of Regina.
Regina police were investigating the disappearance of Patrick Cyril Thauberger, not seen since September 1997, when officers found a large marijuana grow-op in the RMs of Indian Head and South Qu’Appelle.
Police said the operation had over 300 plants.
Joseph George Thauberger, 74, of Regina, was arrested on Friday without incident.
Thauberger is charged with production of a scheduled substance, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
As of Friday, no court date had been set.
