Sarah Mills says parents are probably breathing a sigh of relief as kids head back to school after the Easter break.
Smoke could be seen billowing into the sky over Regina’s North Central neighbourhood on Friday evening after a house caught fire.
Fire crews raced to the scene around 6 p.m., on the 1400 block of Garnet Street, just north of Dewdney Avenue. The family was out of the house by the time crews arrived and no one was hurt.
Regina Fire said the blaze damaged about half of the home’s main floor. The fire was put out in about an hour.
On Saturday morning, Regina Fire said it was waiting for the determination of the investigators to find out the cause of the fire.
