'Start of something special': Riders use garbage bag day to reflect on 2024
Nov 11, 2024
The locker room was full of optimism for the future of the organization on Sunday.
The Amalgamated transit union, local 615, reported late Friday afternoon that a tentative deal had been reached with the City of Saskatoon.
Members will have a chance to vote on that new deal on Tuesday.
ATU drivers had been refusing any overtime hours, in a form of ‘job action,’ as they tried to pressure the City into conceding to their contract demands.
Drivers have been without a contract for over four years. The main sticking point in negotiations had been on the structure of their pension plan.
No details have been released on the tentative deal.
