The July 2016 oil spill into the North Saskatchewan River has cost $107 million.
Husky Energy released the figure, detailing the costs of the spill up to Dec. 31, 2016, in its latest management report.
The report said the company recovered $88 million from insurance.
The pipeline leak spilled 250,000 litres into the North Saskatchewan River, affecting the drinking water for 69,000 people in the Prince Albert and North Battleford areas.
Husky Energy isn’t on the hook for the entirety of the cost. Two other companies have stakes in the affected pipeline through the Husky Midstream Limited Partnership.
