He leads WHL rookies in points and now Nick Henry has been named Player of the Week.
Henry scored 10 points in four games last week, helping the Pats secure a 3-0-1 record.
On Monday Feb. 20, Henry got one assist to start the week. He went on to get a goal and an assist against Saskatoon on Wednesday, and got one goal and three assists on Friday against the Broncos. Henry capped off the week with a goal and two assists on Sunday.
The 17-year-old also leads all WHL rookies with 74 points including 31 goals and 43 assists on the season. He’s 15th in overall WHL scoring
Henry came to the Pats in a trade from the Everett Silvertips. He had originally committed to going to University, but withdrew that decision to come to Regina in September.
Henry is eligible for this year’s NHL draft and is ranked 25th among North American skaters.
Henry is the sixth Pat to get Player of the Week honours. Sam Steel, Connor Hobbs, Adam Brooks (twice) and Sergey Zborovskiy have all also been recognized.
