After dropping four straight games last week, the Pats started their new week out right with a 4-2 win against Brandon.
Regina is in the midst of a grueling schedule that saw them play three games and three days and will see them play seven more in ten days beginning on Wednesday.
After scoring two of the Pats three goals last night, captain Adam Brooks got on the scoreboard again Sunday afternoon, scoring shorthanded to put the Pats up 1-0 going into the first intermission.
Stelio Mattheos started the scoring for the Wheat Kings just one minute and seven seconds into the second period to tie things up at one.
Several penalties followed in the second period including two majors for Austin Wagner and Nolan Patrick for fighting.
Connor Hobbs would take advantage of the powerplay for the Pats and score after being fed by Sam Steel and Adam Brooks, but Tyler Coulter would score about 90 seconds later to tie things up at two going into the second intermission.
The Pats continued the pressure in the third period and Sam Steel scored his 46th of the season at the 2:24 mark.
Wyatt Sloboshan chipped in an insurance goal on the empty net with a minute left in the game and lifted the Pats 4-2 over the Wheaties.
