The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE Unit) has charged a Regina man with child pornography offences.
Police said the investigation began Jan. 15 when the ICE Unit began investigating a user on a peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing network.
Investigators then identified a place in Regina where the user was allegedly downloading and sharing child pornography.
The ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a home on March 8, where evidence of possessing and sharing child pornography was found on a computer.
Police arrested 27-year-old Evan Piche. He’s been charged with possession of child pornography and making child pornography available to others.
Piche remains in custody. He will appear in court on March 15.
