Liam, Olivia and Emma reign supreme as the most popular names for newborns in Saskatchewan.
The top 20 baby names of 2016 list was released by eHealth Saskatchewan Wednesday.
Liam was the most popular name for boys for the seventh year in a row, with 73 newborns receiving the name. Olivia and Emma tied for the most popular name for girls with 78 apiece.
William was the second most popular name with boys, followed by Oliver.
For the girls, Ava was third with Emily placing fourth.
William moved up six spots from 2015 and Charlotte also saw an increase last year, after making the list for the first time in 2015.
There are 22 names including on the list for girls because of a four-way tie for the 20th spot.
Last year, 15,674 live births were registered in Saskatchewan, an increase of 177. The numbers do not include Saskatchewan mothers who gave birth out of province.
