Saskatchewan RCMP gave few details Tuesday afternoon after the elementary school in Hague received a threat.
They did confirm that it happened around lunch time and students were forced to evacuate.
650 CKOM spoke with a kindergarten student’s mom Tuesday evening who said it was a bomb threat and kids were taken to a local church, where parents were able to pick them up around 2 p.m.
She did not want her name published, but commended teachers for keeping kids calm, including telling her son it was a fire drill so it wasn’t alarming to see emergency personnel.
According to her, high school students were evacuated to the arena.
Hague is 48 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
