Police are investigating after a child was hit by a car while riding a bicycle in downtown Saskatoon Friday morning.
The boy was riding a BMX-style bike when he was struck on 4th Avenue South near 20th Street East around 11 a.m.
He was taken to hospital, but police said the boy’s age and condition was unknown.
Photos from the scene show a small black car sitting just past the toppled bike with a damaged windshield.
A section of 4th Avenue, just south of 20th Street, was blocked off as of 12:15 p.m. Friday. Police asked drivers to avoid the area as they continue the investigation.
