Regina Pats forward Jake Leschyshyn was returned to his WHL club by the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Monday.
Leschyshyn was a second-round pick by in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, going 62nd overall to the expansion team.
The 18-year-old from Saskatoon has been rehabbing a knee injury suffered in January that sidelined him for the rest of the 2016-17 season.
Prior to the injury, he chalked up 17 goals and 40 points in 47 games with the Pats.
Meanwhile, Pats captain Sam Steel and defenceman Josh Mahura both remain with the Anaheim Ducks.

The Pats also announced the signing of a 15-year-old defenceman today.
Samual McGinley was a fifth-round pick in the 2017 WHL bantam draft. He’s currently playing for Calgary, Alta. Edge high school.
Last season, the five-foot-eleven, 159-pound defenceman scored five goals and had five assists in 36 games with the Calgary Royals minor bantam team.
The Pats return to action on Wednesday night at home to the Swift Current Broncos at the Brandt Centre at 7 p.m.
