Brandon Bridge or Kevin Glenn has been debated around water coolers for much of the back half of the season, but there is one quarterback who will get the team to where they want them to go.
That is Glenn.
If the Riders want to succeed in these playoffs, they’ll need Glenn to play wire to wire because if you see Brandon Bridge, you’ll only see him if the offence is struggling and it’s likely due to the offensive line struggling early.
What wins in the playoffs? The battle in the trenches.
Yes, Brandon Bridge has played some quality football but I’ve noticed teams are playing him much differently than when we first saw Bridge and you’re seeing a touchdown to interception ratio of one to three, rather than the seven to one ratio in his previous games.
That’s not a trend you want to see going into the playoffs.
Glenn has shown he can still pick apart a defence if he has the time in the pocket to do that. And that will be the game plan that will equate to more success in the playoffs, rather than Bridge’s more ad-libbed play.
