One man is facing several charges after a weapons related incident in Regina on Saturday night.
According to a release, officers were called to a business on the 2100 block of 11th Ave around 9:31 p.m. Lance Wade Kakakaway, 30, approached a staff member who was leaving the business. He pointed a handgun at the staff member and then fired two shots in the air.
After a short time, officers found the suspect, who had an imitation firearm, walking east and took him into custody.
Kakakaway is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon, and use of an imitation firearm during commission of indictable offence.
He will make his first court appearance on Feb. 1, 2018.
