Two charged in fatal house fire on Sask. First Nation

Two men are facing charges following a fatal house fire on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.

RCMP Major Crimes North continue to investigate the fire that broke out on Jan. 7.

The body of 32-year-old Kristen Faye Cantre was found dead inside the house.

Nineteen-year-old Skye Noltcho and 18-year-old Shandon Chief, both of the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, are facing charges.

They are both facing one charge of manslaughter and one charge of arson with disregard for human life.

Both remain in custody.

Noltcho will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Jan. 22, while Chief will appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court, also on Jan. 22.
