The Pats peppered Prince George between the pipes and came out with a 4-1 win Wednesday night at the Brandt Centre.
Regina’s offence fired off 60 shots at goaltender Taylor Gauthier who still made an impressive 56 saves in the Cougars’ loss.
Jesse Gabrielle opened the scoring with his seventh of the season just over a minute into the first period with help from Nick Henry and Emil Oksanen.
A breakdown on the penalty kill cost Max Paddock the shutout as Jared Bethune netted a short-handed goal midway through the opening frame.
The teams went into intermission tied up at one.
But scoring in the second belonged to the Pats with Sam Steel and Matt Bradley both scoring to give Regina a comfortable two-goal lead.
Cameron Hebig added one more in the final frame to seal the 4-1 win.
The Pats are next in action on Saturday night against the Prince Albert Raiders.
