The Regina Pats have won their fifth game in a row after Saturday night’s 5-3 victory over Lethbridge.
In the first, Koby Morrisseau scored his sixth goal of the season, 3:29 into the period. Then Jesse Gabrielle scored his 13th goal of the season to close out the frame 2-0.
Nick Henry would extend the Pats lead 1:20 into the second period when he scored on a breakaway. The goal would be his 13th of the season.
Robbie Homes would then score for the Pats with his 16th to improve Regina’s lead to 4-0. The Hurricanes would then respond with two late in the period.
The Pats would enter the third period with a 4-2 lead over Lethbridge.
The Hurricanes would get close in the third period with Brad Morrison scoring a goal to make it 4-3. That’s when Sam Steel would seal the victory with an empty netter. It would be Steel’s 31st goal of the season.
Regina goalie Max Paddock would make 27 saves. Regina outshot Lethbridge 43-40.
On the powerplay, the Pats were one for two while on the penalty kill, they were two for two.
The Pats will return to the Brandt Centre on Wednesday night when they host the Prince Albert Raiders.

After his goal Saturday night, Sam Steel is now tied with Adam Brooks for 10th on the Pats all-time scoring list with 335 points.
The Pats went 5-0-0-0 during their five games through the Central Division.
Jesse Gabrielle led the offence during the game with a goal and two assists. That means Gabrielle ties his season high of three points in a game in the win.
