A manhunt for a murder suspect considered armed and dangerous has ended with an arrest at a home in Regina.
Moose Jaw police report Tyrel Munroe was arrested by Regina police officers without incident late Thursday night.
Munroe, 19, was the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant on a murder charge stemming from the stabbing death of 21-year-old Bailey Anderson.
Police said Munroe and Anderson knew each other and were visiting a house on the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue Northeast when a fight broke out in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to the house at 1:20 a.m. and Munroe had allegedly fled the scene before they arrived. Anderson was taken to hospital with a stab wound and pronounced dead a short time later.
A second woman who was wanted as a person of interest and the subject of unrelated warrants turned herself in to police on Wednesday but will not be charged in this case.
Munroe appeared Friday in court in Regina and is set to be remanded into custody in Moose Jaw early next week.
