Saskatchewan RCMP have now confirmed the deaths of a man and a woman in Midale last Friday were the result of a murder-suicide.
Police have determined Mary Lou Clauson, 61, was killed by 74-year-old Patrick Ng before he took his own life at the Midway Restaurant and Bar in Midale last week. Clauson was an employee of Ng’s and Midale residents said she was the bookkeeper for the business.
Police are releasing these details following a week-long investigation which included forensic investigation of the scene, autopsies on both bodies and interviews with potential witnesses.
The investigation is now over and RCMP say the exact cause of death will not be released at the request of the families.
