Moose Jaw elects new councillor, education board member

Residents came out to vote as Moose Jaw selected their newest councillor and a new member to the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division’s Board.

Filling the empty seat left by Don Mitchell, who resigned from City Council back in May, will be former councillor Heather Eby. In the 2016 election, Eby just lost her seat on council to Dawn Luhning by 332 votes. This time, Eby managed to reclaim a seat with the closest vote being Doug Blanc, who was 525 ballots behind.

Another vote was held at the poles to fill the vacant spot on the HTCSD Board. Only 20.9% of all voters chose a trustee to fill the spot, with Christine Boyzcuk earning almost half of those votes.
