The RM of McKillop, near Last Mountain Lake, now has new district boundaries after they were approved by the provincial government.
The Ministry of Government Relations announced Thursday morning that the minister had accepted the application from the RM for boundary changes.
The boundary changes stem back to issues arising from disputes over taxes from people who own property in the resort village of MacPheat Park by Last Mountain Lake.
The changes were one of the things voted for in a referendum as part of the October election.
Since all the division boundaries are changing in the RM, a new election must be held for all council positions. The next election is set for Feb. 27, 2018.
