Maple Creek RCMP are investigating the death of man found Saturday morning on the side of Highway 1, seven kilometres east of the Alberta border.
Police believe the man, who has yet to be identified, was struck by a passing vehicle.
They are asking drivers if they have seen vehicles with noticeable damage travelling eastbound between late Friday and early Saturday.
The man found on the highway is described as Caucasian, in his 60s, approximately five feet, seven inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.
He had grey hair, a large moustache and a beard. He was also wearing numerous layers of warm clothes and carrying a backpack and sleeping bag.
