The Regina Pats’ losing streak reached four games Friday, when they dropped a 6-2 decision to the Medicine Hat Tigers at the Brandt Centre.
Regina opened the 2019-20 WHL regular season with a 3-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Sept. 20, but hasn’t won since.
Carter Massier opened the scoring for the Pats on Friday at the 1:07 mark of the first period, but the Tigers got power-play goals from Regina product Cole Sillinger (at 6:51) and Ryan Chyzowski (8:17) to take a 2-1 lead.
Ty Kolle scored at 8:44 of the first and the teams went into the intermission tied 2-2.
Medicine Hat got goals from Elijah Brown, Eric Van Impe and Caleb Willms in the second to lead 5-2 after 40 minutes. Sillinger scored his second goal of the game in the third to complete the scoring.
Garin Bjorklund made 22 saves in the Tigers’ net. Regina goalie Max Paddock stopped 40 shots.
The Pats are to visit the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday before facing the host Warriors on Sunday to complete a stretch of three games in three nights.
