The Regina Pats dropped their fifth straight WHL game Saturday, falling 6-0 to the host Prince Albert Raiders.
Regina, which won its regular-season opener on Sept. 20, fell to 1-5-0. The Raiders improved to 4-0-2.
Zack Hayes’ goal at 4:42 of the first period stood up as the winner for Prince Albert, which got a 13-save shutout from Boston Bilous.
Eric Pearce, Ozzy Wiesblatt, Brayden Watts, Kaiden Guhle and Justin Nachbaur also scored for the Raiders.
Danton Belluk started in Regina’s net and allowed five goals on 19 shots. Max Paddock took over at the 12:31 mark of the second period and stopped 10 of 11 shots the rest of the way.
The Pats are to visit the Moose Jaw Warriors on Sunday to complete a stretch of three games in three days. Game time at Mosaic Place is 4 p.m.
