The Regina Pats are releasing more details surrounding their Prairie Classic showdown with the Calgary Hitmen.
The day after the NHL’s Heritage Classic between the Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames is to take over Mosaic Stadium, the WHL’s Pats and Hitmen are to meet on Sunday. Puck drop for the game is set for 2 p.m.
The Pats will honour their connection with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and the rest of the Canadian Armed Forces during the game as a part of their annual military appreciation game. Members from the infantry, navy and air force arms of the military will be in attendance.
The Pats will also be wearing commemorative Prairie Classic jerseys, which are being auctioned off online on the Pats’ website.
Regina goaltender Max Paddock will also be wearing a Prairie Classic commemorative mask for the game, which will be raffled off at the game.
A fan fest is to take place from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Tickets for the game are still available and the Pats have said more than 10,000 tickets already have been sold for the game.
