The Meadow Lake RCMP has arrested a man who was wanted following a shooting incident on Nov. 23.
Lennex Merasty-Morin, 31, was arrested Monday following a short foot pursuit and the use of a taser.
Merasty-Morin now faces 13 charges including firearms-related offences in relation to the November incident.
In November, a 32-year-old driver of a vehicle was shot in the back, while a 50-year-old passenger was injured in Meadow Lake.
The Mounties tracked a suspect vehicle, which tried to flee from police on a rural road. The car lost control shortly after, crashing into bushes adjacent to the road.
The RCMP arrested four people at the scene but were also looking for Merasty-Morin, who wasn’t in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Merasty-Morin appeared in court Tuesday and has been remanded into custody until Wednesday.
