Sitting in his black T-shirt in the prisoner box, the blond boy accused of starting a fire in the north Regina Walmart barely reacted when he was denied bail Wednesday.
The fire happened in early December and left the store closed for weeks.
The 12-year-old boy was quickly arrested and charged with arson. It came out in his first court appearance that the boy is also accused of stealing a van and threatening to shoot up a north Regina elementary school.
On Wednesday morning, a judge decided the boy would not be released on bail. The judge explained his reasons, but those cannot be reported due to a publication ban.
The boy is to be back in court on the charges on Friday.
