Regina’s Luther College has a new president.
Rev. Dr. Marc Jerry is to become the school’s seventh president on July 1. He’s to replace Dr. Bryan Hillis, whose 10-year term is to end June 30.
Jerry is currently a faculty member and past lead/co-chair of the Business Baccalaureate Degree Development Team at the Donald School of Business at Red Deer University.
Before that, he was academic dean at St. Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary in Richmond, Va., and associate professor and business department chair at the Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal University.
He also has served as pastor at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Red Deer for six years and on the ELCIC National Church Council for four years.
“I am looking forward to returning to Saskatchewan and the Regina area to join the Luther College team,” Jerry said in a media release.
“Luther has a superb history of excellence — both at the high school and on the university campus in providing quality education and campus experiences in a faith-based context that is second to none.”
Luther College operates an independent high school in Regina as well as a post-secondary campus associated with the University of Regina.
