As the extreme cold weather continues to pummel the province, several school bus routes in its southern regions have been cancelled for Wednesday.
At Regina’s public and Catholic school boards, all bus routes were operating, except for those that require special needs services, like buses that use wheelchair lifts or paratransit.
Southwest of Regina in the Prairie South School division in and around Moose Jaw, several bus routes were cancelled due to the cold. Those routes normally run inside and outside of Moose Jaw. Check here for a full list of cancelled bus routes.
Further west toward Swift Current, some bus routes in the Chinook School Division were also cancelled. Those included buses to Herbert, Vanguard and Wymark and the public school and the high school in Shaunavon.
In Saskatoon, all buses serving the city’s public schools were cancelled for the day.
