The SJFHL has six teams across the province, with 125 players aged 18 to 22.

Norm Powell has stepped up big time, Pascal Siakam is turning into the next star and — with a veteran presence from Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka — the Raptors have to again be considered a favourite out of the East.
Add to that the belief they can win after last year’s title, and they have an X factor not many others have in the East.
It’s similar to the Edmonton Oilers without Wayne Gretzky. You don’t need the biggest star, you need the best team.
