The Regina Folk Festival won’t be filling the air in the downtown area with music in 2020.
The longtime festival is cancelling this year’s event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival was set to go Aug. 7-9 in Victoria Park.
In an email, executive director Josh Haugerud made the cancellation announcement.
The Folk Festival normally sees hundreds of music fans converge on the park for a weekend of music in the summer.
Information about ticket refunds will be made available soon and will be emailed to all current ticket holders.
If a person purchased a ticket for 2020 at the 2019 festival, they are asked to contact the festival’s finance manager.
Haugerud also said organizers are accepting donations for the Regina Folk Festival to help it weather the current storm.
