A man and a woman have been arrested after breaking into a home and stealing items while the people in the home slept.
Police were called to Albulet Drive around 4:39 p.m. on June 30 for a report of a break and enter that occurred 12 hours before.
Police believe the break and enter occurred around 4 a.m. and the suspects entered through the garage and removed three bicycles. After that, it’s alleged the two suspects used the door from the garage into the house. Police said electronics, phones, backpacks, sports equipment and a wallet were stolen.
Police said this all occurred while the family was at home sleeping and the thefts were not discovered until later in the morning. Police said by that point, one of the credit cards in the wallet had been used at two local businesses.
An investigation into the break and enter led to a search warrant being acquired on Monday for a home on the 2200 block of Robinson Street. A man and a woman were arrested and drugs were located in the shoes of one of the suspects.
Other items associated with drug trafficking were found in the search of the home. Numerous items from the Albulet Drive break and enter were found as well as numerous identity documents from various people.
Both the man, 40, and woman, 31, appeared in court on Tuesday.
